OUR COMMUNITY
We believe that God works thru the local church to transform hearts and accordingly, transform lives. A key component of our overall vision is to positively influence the culture and the community in which we live. We believe that happens by how we live our lives everyday outside the walls of the church, not just on Sunday mornings inside the church.
We pledge to be a church that is externally focused on having a redemptive impact throughout the community and in the lives of the people living next door to us. Likewise, we are called to take God-inspired risks rather than play it safe. We want to be on the leading edge of what God is doing in the Northeast Valley and will go outside of the walls of the church to reach people with the life-changing message of Jesus Christ.
OUR SERVICES
Our services are designed to create an environment where we learn about our faith and most importantly how to apply it to everyday life. Knowledge is wonderful, but life transformation happens when what we know changes how we live. We also realize that going to church for the first time can be a little intimidating. Because of this, we have a come as you are culture and our service style is casual. We use culturally current music, video, and drama to help you connect to our message topics. You’ll hear transformational teaching that will help you grow in your faith and apply biblical truths to daily life.
SPIRITUAL GROWTH
Regardless of where you are now on your spiritual journey, we want to help you grow. Whether you are exploring faith, new to faith, growing in faith, stalled in your journey, or living a life that is fully Christ-centered, we want to partner with you to take next steps. Part of that partnership involves assisting you with the tools you need to grow and mature in Christ. Through personalized spiritual growth assessments, life groups, serving opportunities, and compassion related serving, Mountain Valley will come along side of you and help you to develop a plan for your continued spiritual growth.
HOME AND FAMILY
We place high value on the home and family life at Mountain Valley. We recognize that the home is the primary context (for better or worse) of our past and future spiritual formation. Therefore, we are committed to partnering with individuals and families in creating stronger homes that are deeply rooted in a vibrant and active faith. This value will be played out through ministries that are specifically designed to strengthen and partner with families.
SERVING
We also believe strongly in helping people get involved in serving and leadership according to their spiritual giftedness. We set high priority on helping people not only discover their spiritual gifts, but finding opportunities to serve and lead in ministries both inside and outside the church.
OUR BELIEFS
The leaders of Mountain Valley Church affirm the historic Christian faith as summarized by the early church fathers in the creeds. We come from a variety of denominational backgrounds and respect the rich heritage each tradition brings to our spiritual formation.
